The consulate provides a full range of consular and passport services for American citizens.

American Citizen Services Section
The U.S. Consulate in Munich provides passport, notarial and other citizenship services by appointment only.  The Consulate does not accept customers without an appointment except in cases of emergency. more

Non-Immigrant Visa Section
We are pleased to announce that Munich has joined Frankfurt and Berlin as Germany's third non-immigrant visa issuance post.

Appointments for visa interviews can be made only by calling:

The consulate in Frankfurt issues immigrant visas for our region.


Our consulate also includes a U.S. Commercial Service office providing full services to American business. The USCS representative in Munich supports business interests in Bavaria and in southern Baden-Württemberg.


Our consulate is closed to the public on American and German holidays. In addition, the American Citizen Services Section will be closed the last Wednesday of every month.
