In a historical ceremony Consul General Matthew M. Rooney is welcomed at one of the watch gates in Dinkelsbühl, one of most picturesque medieval towns in Bavaria. The city mayor, Dr. Christoph Hammer, invited the Consul General to sign the Golden Book. The Consul General also toured an industrial park and gave a speech to local business people on the challenges of globalization. He also visited Ansbach and spoke at “Go West – the Market in the USA”, an event hosted by the Foreign Trade Association and local small businesses.
