The Pressclub Regensburg invited Consul General Matthew M. Rooney to its weekly “jour fixe” meeting for journalists in Eastern Bavaria. About twenty journalists and moderator Gerald Schneider (right) from the Straubinger Tagblatt took the opportunity to engage Consul General Rooney in discussions of mutual German-American interest such as transatlantic relations, the United Nations and climate change. The event was covered in several regional dailies.
