Consul General Matthew M. Rooney addressed an international conference on "The Bush Presidency" convened by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the University of Regensburg, where American, German, Swiss and Israeli scholars took a close look at the foreign and economic policies of the President's first term and analyzed the election outcome and the President's new mandate. The Consul General also visited Regensburg's oldest high school, the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium, (founded 500 years ago) to discuss America's role in the world and transatlantic issues with students and teachers.
