On his first official visit as Ambassador to Germany, William Robert Timken, Jr. was welcomed by Bavaria’s Minister President Edmund Stoiber (right) in the State Chancellery. Minister President Stoiber expressed his deep sympathy for the people afflicted in the U.S. southern states by Hurricane Katrina. Ambassador Timken also visited Munich-based companies and met with editors of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Münchner Merkur for interviews.
